In Memory of Officer Amy Caprio

Officer Amy Caprio was a dedicated and courageous member of the Baltimore County Police Department in Maryland. She served her community with pride, integrity, and a deep commitment to protecting others.

On May 21, 2018, Officer Caprio responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle connected to a burglary in progress. While performing her duty, she encountered a dangerous situation involving multiple suspects. During the incident, one of the suspects used a vehicle as a weapon, striking Officer Caprio and taking her life in the line of duty.

She was just 29 years old.

Officer Caprio is remembered by her colleagues, family, and community as a kind, determined, and fearless officer who truly embodied the spirit of service. Her sacrifice serves as a powerful reminder of the risks law enforcement officers face every day to keep their communities safe.

Her legacy continues to live on through those she inspired and the lives she touched.
